Creating Opportunity for Veterans

SEE UPDATE AT END!

Reader interaction has been the true gift of writing. This comes in many different forms. From Amazon reviews to lengthy reader emails, or sometimes I just get an email with the words “Add me to your list.” I always respond, hoping to strike up a conversation. Many times they fizzle out. Occasionally, I “strike gold” and develop an interesting long distance friendship. In this case, I literally struck GOLD. You’ll see why.

Steve Cullen has been a long standing supporter of our nation’s veterans. Military service runs in his family, and he’s always felt a duty to give something back. We started email back and forth about the subject after I ran a donation campaign surrounding the launch of the first novel in my Black Flagged series. That campaign raised $1700 for the Disabled American Veteran’s organization, and my most recent campaign for the Wounded Warrior Project raised a similar amount.

Steve put into action a plan to take supporting our veterans to the next level. I’ll let his website introduction do most of the talking. His idea is incredible. It has the potential to provide veterans with temporary income, housing and a sense of community. All while getting them out into nature, where the air is clean, the water is pure and the land is pristine.

Best of all, the entire operation can be self-sustaining after start up.

Start up is where he needs our help. Take a look at his website and read about what this PATRIOT is doing for our nation’s heroes.

UPDATE! As of Saturday, August 4th, Steve has decided to pursue several investors, instead of taking donations, in order to get a jump start on starting the camp. His goal of 32K to get one camp operational would take a wildly successful donation campaign and a considerable stretch of time. If you know anyone willing to make an investment in his vision, please send them to the website below. Thank you!

  1. It’s hard to find well-informed people about this topic, but you seem like you know what you’re talking about!
    Thanks

  2. Hi there! Do you know if they make any plugins to help with SEO?
I’m trying to get my blog to rank for some targeted keywords but I’m not
seeing very good results. If you know of any please share.
    Kudos!
